Hey guys! Just got my 2" lift installed, and I love it.. I just need to head back to Les Schwab so they can put in the old bumpstops, because the new ones are way too long.. Why did I go with Schawbe?? Price, Warranty, install, and the people I know there. The kit did give me 2". Just over $400 installed, with an alignment. Here are some pics. Before:After:Next is going to be a trail run!

I can't wait to take it for a trail run.. I've been busy with work, and working Saturdays, that by the time Sunday comes along, I want to be lazy! ;D Next is going to be a 1"BL and a 1" MML, so I can remove the T-case drop... I'll need help with those, seeing is how, I don't have the right tools, and could use someone that knows what there doing, a little better then I do...

looks good, basically the same thing I did with mine. why do you have a t-case drop though? they are only needed on 3" or more lifts and only if you do not replace the drive line with a longer cv driveline.

Because Schawbe installed the kit.. so.. meh.. whatever.. THe t-case skid is still 1" taller, so not such a big deal.. Plus, they said if it wasn't in there, I'd eat up U-hoints... maybe there wrong, maybe there right.. I can withstand it for a few months until the 1"BL, and 1"MML!

Well.. I took it offroad last weekend, and the shocks are too d**n stiff.. They put in the Mountian Rider Extream Foam cell ones, and they said, if I wanted a "softer" shock, the jeep would bounce all over th road.. and things..
So, now I've got to fight with them, that it's just too darn stiff, and the front bumpstops are too long... so, there going to chop off 1-1/2" off the new stops..
However, they have been very helpfull, and friendly about it, so I'm not mad at them.
Also, my t-case still doesn't engage fully into 4hi, and seemed to pop out of 4lo when I went to backup.. so there's still a link issue there.. Wish I had all the tools in need..

wonder why they installed longer bump stops. My kit said to use the stock ones on the 2" lift so you may have some wheel travel. When I go to the taller 5.5" longarm, then I will change the bump stops.
Oh, the only thing the the T-case drop accomplishes is driveline vibration. If you have the cv style driveline you wont have a problem with the vibration. If you have a vibration, contact Portland Driveline and they can set you up with the proper length driveline and get rid of the T-case drop. Nothing good ever comes with dropping the T-case and bending all the linkage to make things work properly.
I think we all tried to inform you of this prior to you doing the lift so that you may have avoided these problems to begin with.
I cant speak for everyone here, but if you would like some help or advise just ask. I'm sure most would be willing to give a hand.

I have the stock drive line setup.. No SYE/CV setup. Also, they put in a drop bracket for the t-case linkage that came with the kit.. However, regardless, it's still acting the same way before the lift... so maybe there's something else wrong.. hope not.. I found a local jeep guy with a shop that'd install a 1" BL, and 1" MML for $100. He also said, after the MML I can pull the T-case drop out, and everything will be lined up. I guess I can ask them to pull the t-case drop out now, and see if I get vibes.. It's a big ball of trouble, and it's annoying not knowing local people with a shop, tools, and knowledge of installing stuff. I mean, we all have our part, but one guy, with the shop and tools, can be obviously, most help full. Right now, I just have bits and pieces to throw around.. which is why I went to Schwabe... It's all good.. I'm not mad or anything.. just wish all things being equal, were a bit easier at times.

What do you need for tool ? Do you have a place to work on it? Well.. something to jack up the jeep, and drop the T-case, and work on it, and see if I can't adjust things, and a torque wrench. I guess jack stands... so on.. I do have a garage to work in, so that not a big problem... Oh, and another brain, that knows more then me! It is my DD, so I can't "really" go at it half a$$'ed. ;D First, I need schawbe to "get my clue... and I need time off of work", to fix the ride, because its too darn stiff.. I was supposed to take it in last Friday, but, My work kept me there late... bah!

I have everything you listed as needing, except the time part. Can't do anything about your schedule. Just let me know if you want to borrow them and when and we can meet somewhere to get them to you.
