Excellent run today out there at Brown's Camp. Not a lot of traffic and the roads were easily traversed to the trails.
Found that my Cherokee is definitely not ready for playing out on the trails. My 4-wd unit is broken and my tires, tho mud terrains, are just a bit too low on tread for mud and snow. Would be much better for using on dry trails or on the sand.
Met up with H3slate aka Erik. Great little H3 that did awesome on the trails. We headed up to Powerline 4, where I parked the Jeep and switched over to the Monte. Still my rig of choice, lol. Found a rough patch on the Powerline where I gave over to my boyfriend and let him drive my Monte out of a really rocky, slippery spot on the trail. Of course the Hummer had no problems following behind. After the Power line, we jogged on over to Cedar tree, where we spent the rest of the day.
Unfortunately, Cedar tree has a really bad spot on the third leg. Almost lost the Hummer off the side and we spent the next 2 and 1/2 hours getting it back on the trail and then we turned around and headed back out. ToyPower, we sure could have used your dual winches today, but ah well, the come-along and lots of ingenuity and muscle power really did the job.
Altogether, it was a great day. The weather was awesome, the kids didn't complain about the delay as they got involved and helped when they could and I learned a bit more about how to handle the trails with snow and mud.
Thanks Erik for joining me and mine for a great adventure.

Had a great time Sunday. Was great to get up to Brown's camp to play in the snow. Thanks to Wyldcomfort and her family for a great day on the trails.
Cedar Tree definitely became a lot harder with the snow. I am glad we got off that trail without further incident. After sliding halfway off the trail, I was very grateful for all the help with the Hummer Recovery.
Wyld's Montero did very well on the trails, the tight uphill corner proved difficult for her truck, but made up for it by walking up climbs I was having trouble with.
Will post pics shortly. Look forward to running more trails with the Hillbilly crew!

Pics from Cedar Tree trail Trail was pretty slippery in spots, which made tight squeezes between the trees very exciting. I scratched my fender at this same spot on the way back out. Slid my truck halfway off the trail, twice. Thanks to Wyldcomfort and her family, a handful of straps, and a testy hand winch we got my truck back on the trail. It never looks as bad as it was in pictures. Any forward or reverse movement sent my truck sliding towards tree trunks and other debris at the bottom of the hill.
