Another very long night.. more dead ends. The solution is as clear as the nose on our face but we are so busy passing blame.....fighting with fact vs. fiction, and losing in the media because drama is chosen over truth. Tomorrow is a very big day and I hope to see many of you at the Hearing. We must address the minimum age level of seven, what type of training program they will implement (based on age/cc or best fit) and clean up the language that states you can only supervise from the same class of vehicle. There hasn't been anyone under the age of eight that has died operating on public lands with a parent supervising. In fact, I am having a hard time finding any of the deaths over the past 10 years who have had direct adult supervision on public or private so why place a restriction that would punish families that ride together when we aren't even willing to hold parents accountable for negligence? Wow, great theory - prohibit the families in an attempt to regulate the people who are already breaking a law or at the very least not using reasonable common sense. We are so mad because this is so unfair. Then you add in the fact that the other side can get information, even twist the information to dramatize the numbers, and we continue to get the run around because we don't fit into the agenda....
Please come tomorrow if you are able... let's meet in the lobby area just inside the front doors of the capitol. The hearing is at 1:00. Even if you don't want to speak - seeing the fact that folks cared enough to take a day off of work and show up speaks volumes. Please let me know if you are able to make it. .....Lindy
