I live in central oregon and love to wheel, drive tuff trucks, ride quads, dirt bikes, etc. I am currently building an 83 toyota. It was a rust bucket when I got it, But I guess thats what happens when it sits next to the ocean! I got new fenders for it and just junked the bed. Surprisingly the cab was in pretty decent shape. It got gutted and redone, new seats and all. I have a chevy 350 waiting to be dropped into it and am just waiting on my tranny and transfer case. Later on (when the toyota running gar breaks), It will be replaced with chevy running gear. Its a work in progress, but ya gotta start somewhere. I look forward to any and all feed back!

Welcome aboard. It's nice to have another female in the group. Would love to know where you go wheeling as I plan on taking a few trips this summer to check out some new places. Your ideas and input will be very valuable to the group. Wyld

I'll tell you whatever you want to know. We enjoy new people. But be fore warned. We're just a bunch of rednecks that like to have fun, and sometimes its been known to get out of control. Have you ever been to the dunes in Christmas Valley or out to Wickiup Resorvoir in La Pine? A couple of our friends have wheelin pits at their houses. The dirt here is very diff from the valley. I'm still not sure what to make of it. It's like pumice. But yea, if you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll answer the best I can.

Well you joined the right group as we're all a bunch of rednecks too. Redneckoffroad was already taken so we went with hillbilly instead. I haven't been to Central Oregon since before my youngest was born and she just turned 7 yesterday. I'm kind of a newbie to wheelin'. Only been hitting the trails for about 2 years now and just starting to learn about how to put an off-road truck together as you'll see by the scout project in the projects area. I look forward to reading about your adventures out there and hope to join up for a weekend of dirt and "pumice".

Sweet deal! My oldest turned 8 today. They both love it too! They came and watched me drive in tuff trucks this year and they were disappointed that I didnt roll my truck! My boyfriend and I have redneck racing for our tuff trucks and its also on the derby car! Definately let me know when you all want to come down and hopefully my truck is done by then!

I actually looked into keeping all the stock yota stuff and it was a bit more $ than I wanted to spend! Doing it this way keeps my cost at around $2000 all together! The cheaper the better in my book!

Very true. The less money spent is the more fun you can have and not really worry. I just picked up my little sister her first project Yota today. I gotta pick it up when I get home. 20$ for a gutted 87 4Runner, just the body and frame. Not too bad. Her and I are really gonna do some hillbilly action to it.
