Well.. seeing is how there are limited clubs here in portland.. or there are clubs with a bunch of hothead morons.. this place seems to be a bit more laid back!! So I chose you guys. My name is Robert and I just got a new 03 Jeep Wrangler X a couple of months ago, and I'm looking for people who love to go off roading, camping, and whatever out doors. I know alot of good trails, and cool places to travle.. maybe I can be of some assistance. I prefer to do light off roading, seeing is how My jeep is a daily driver for me. Do you guys still do trips?? How hard of difficulty of runs do you try to attempt?

Hello Robert aka jeepgeek2k, Welcome to Hillbilly. I hope you'll enjoy wheeling and chatting with us. I believe most of us here wheel our daily drivers also so light offroading is the norm for us mostly. There are some who are into the tougher stuff as you'll figure out by the posts.
If you haven't checked out the Oregon Trails board, please do and post up any trails that you might know of that haven't been listed. We welcome new spots to check out and play on. As long as they are legal trails or we have permission to run on them it's not a problem.
I'm a mud junky myself, so summer really doesn't get a lot of runs. I'm hoping to set up a run some time in September after school starts and less hotdoggers are on the trails. Anyone can plan a run so if you have a last minute run you want to go on, just post up at least a day in advance and we'll try to join you.
So welcome aboard. Wyld Founder and administrator

welcome aboard robert or should I say jeepgeek2k.... my rubicon is an every day driver as well and its also completely stock. the only thing that I am dissatisfied with so far is the tires. I currently have the stock goodyear mt/r's, they are great in the mud but suck in the snow.

Mine came with 31" WildCountry AT's, and they were OK, but stunk in the mud.. Two weeks ago I got 31-11.5 Wildcat EXT's and there a dream. I actually, had a set of 30" EXT's on my 2000 Tracker, and they were awesome.. so naturally, the jeep got em too!! Most 31's come in a tread width of 10.5" standard, but the EXT's are an inch wider comming in at 11.5. The wider track is nice.
